A highly dangerous place, especially when debating which model to buy...But what great fun! And I did get my questions answered, so I'm now clear on what to buy when the time comes.
We took a side trip off the main Ginza and found a nice little Spanish place for lunch-soup, main dish with rice, coffee and dessert-all for ¥1500! Very reasonable for the Ginza, considering it's one of the most expensive places on the planet!!
A scene from the Edo period, some 300 years ago...regular everyday life as seen from Nihonbashi, one of the entrances into the city. The figures are so small and the display so big, binoculars are provided so you can see the detail....and the detail is pretty amazing!
Would love to go to the sumo museum, but it's closed on the weekends. So I'm going next door to the Edo Tokyo Museum with my friend PN to absorb lots of history.
Sometimes it's hard to believe Japan is in a recession because it seems there is construction going on all over... Shopping centers, office buildings, condominiums....absolutely everywhere
Can't imagine why I'm doing this in the hottest season of the year...spending the weekend in Tokyo. Have a full 3 days ahead...will try to keep up here.
